Commercial Description:

William Merlet Pear Cream is made from a very distinctive variety, with a unique aroma. The Merlets are sourcing from partner producers in the Loire Valley to ensure the continuity of the quality produced. Because of their status as blackcurrant growers and wine growers, the Merlets can dialogue with these producer-suppliers and use their expertise to select fruits of optimal maturity. Two processes are combined. First of all the pears are macerated in a fine alcohol to extract all their aromas, then pressed and filtered into a natural infusion of fruit. This infusion is then combined with a pear brandy that enhances the intensity of the nose. Finally sugar is added to obtain the final pear cream.

TASTING NOTES

A pale color, straw yellow and slightly silvery. Velvety and appetizing aromas of freshly cut pears, meringue and delicate spices. A round body, juicy and generous to finish on a note of honey and tart with tangy pear.
