Farmhouse Ale – Saison | 9.5% ABV

Commercial Description:

Dieu Du Ciel! in collaboration with Shiga Kougen from Nagano, Japan, Isseki Nich, Imperial Dark Saison 9.5%. Quite the combo, extremely dark brown/black with minimal light around the edges, beautiful head (as you can see) and fantastic lacing round out the look. Now, this is a combo of an Imperial Stout and a black Saison, and it certainly hits several of those notes. Peppery and fruity, woody, roasty with some chocolate and molasses through the sip, slightly tart, medium dry finish leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden, but the complexity makes it a sipper.
