For 5X Tres Leches, we took our 5X Stout base recipe and added all the flavors of our favorite Mexican cake. To keep things vegan and allergy-friendly, we dosed this with oat and coconut milks, then added hefty amounts of Mexican vanilla plus strawberry and raspberry purees.

The final product is a pastry stout of the highest order whose richly decadent texture and subtly sweet flavors perfectly hide its unthinkably smooth 17% ABV.

We’ve been having a lot of fun (and success) playing in the large ABV arena. This beer starts with out 5X stout recipe and cranks it up yet another flavor notch. This “Tres Leches Cake 5X Stout” includes 6 gallons of three different vegan friendly milks: oat and coconut in our grain bill plus we added a hefty dose of Mexican Vanilla and topped it off with raspberry and strawberry puree.
