CBS was born when we stumbled upon some bourbon barrels that had previously housed maple syrup. We opted to put the same base beer as KBS, an imperialized version of Breakfast Stout, in the maple barrels and, after one taste, we knew we had something special. Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate meld together in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience.

Old Ale | 12.7% ABV

What tames an old ale like Curmudgeon? The tender embrace of oak and sweet maple, thats what. The result is Curmudgeons Better Half, a harmonious matrimony of our deceptively smooth old ale brewed with molasses and time spent aging in bourbon barrels that have previously held maple syrup. Because all counterparts should be sweet, rich and utterly delicious.

(3) Founders Backwoods Bastard Bourbon Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale 12oz

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy | 11.2% ABV

Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts, a bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark fruit. Its a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

(3) Founders Breakfast Stout 12oz

Stout – American Imperial / Double | 8.3% ABV

The coffee lovers consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and Sumatra and Kona coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.
